I’m a (Chi)walking contradiction…
Posted In: Me September 14th, 2012 divider 1 Comment »I’ve had this concept hanging out in the back of my mind for quite some time. It seems like a lot that I do is on opposite ends of the spectrum but it seems I’m not the only one, just ask Green Day!
Here it goes:
- I’m a francophone but I’m way more comfortable in Shakespeare’s language now
- I like to be healthy for the most part but I appreciate some pizza and beer as well
- Contrary to popular belief, I actually like to plan ahead. It’s just that it seems a lot of stuff falls through so I’m good with going with the flow
- I love being around people as I get a lot of energy from them but I spend the bulk of my time along (and I’m okay with that)
- I love communicating with folks one-on-one but these days it seems most of my convos are on email and/or social media platforms
- I ‘m a huge sucker for a women with a nice smile but yet I’m still single
- I love being busy but I also enjoy downtime (even if it takes me a while to get used to it). These days it’s feast or famine, oh the life of a consultant!
- I’ve done Ironman and marathons but now just running or cycling for fun is more my speed. Does that make me lazy? (I think it does!)
- I’m a huge believer of people but it seems someone lets me down on at least a weekly basis
- I think of myself as a fairly open minded person but sometimes if my toothpaste is moved I get a twitch
- A lot of folks associate me as being the “ChiRunning Guy” but it’s a very small portion of the business these days. Happy and sad about that too. (See what I mean!)
- I’m not a huge fan of Club Fed and all of their policies but it seems a lot of my work involves them now
What’s the big contradiction in your life? Would you be kind enough to share it below?
